The company behind Gemwise.

Gemwise is built by Flownova AI & IT Services GmbH in Walsrode, a small software company in the middle of Lower Saxony rather than an anonymous startup loft. When you call, you reach the people who built the system.

We build Gemwise so that your evenings are not spent typing up paper slips, and the till is closed in a few minutes instead. We handle the hardware, the setup, the data migration and the training together with you. And after that we're there for you, by phone rather than through a ticket system.

What jewelers ask us most often.

Does Gemwise need an internet connection?
Yes. Gemwise is a cloud system, so your data stays up to date on every device. The till runs in the browser and works over any stable internet connection. If the line in the shop ever goes down, a phone's mobile hotspot is enough as a fallback. During onboarding we help you get everything online reliably.
Is Gemwise KassenSichV-compliant?
Yes, fully. Every transaction is signed through a certified cloud TSE (the security module German law requires for every till), all entries are archived tamper-proof in line with GoBD, and the DSFinV-K export for a till inspection is ready at the press of a button. The TSE is included in every plan at no extra charge.
What happens to the data from my old till?
We handle the data migration for you: we import your products, customers and stock levels for you. Up to 1.000 products in Starter, up to 5.000 in Professional and up to 20.000 in Premium. You won't be starting from zero.
How long does setup take?
We handle the setup together with you: data import, configuration and training are part of the setup (2 hours of training in the Starter and Professional plans, 4 hours of personal onboarding in Premium). Most stores are ready to go within a few days.
Who is Gemwise for?
Gemwise is built for jewelers, goldsmiths and watchmakers in Germany, from small shops to businesses with several stores. The system keeps jewelry-specific attributes like carat, alloy, weight and gemstone, and it fully covers workshop repairs and deposits.
How does repair tracking work for customers?
At drop-off your customer gets a QR code on the receipt. With it they can check the status of their repair online at any time, from the diagnosis through the estimate to pickup readiness. That saves you the follow-up calls.
Does Gemwise work with multiple stores?
Yes. With the multi-store module you manage all locations centrally: a shared product range, stock transfers between stores and reports per location. Roles and multi-factor login control who can see and change what.
Can I manage and stocktake my inventory by weight and fineness?
Yes. In Gemwise every item carries jewelry-specific details like carat and fineness from 333 to 999, alloy, weight and gemstone. You count the stocktake on the tablet right at the shelf, in blind mode if you like, so you count without expected values. At the end a variance report is one tap away, with an export for your tax advisor.
Does Gemwise support old-gold buy-in and differential taxation?
Gemwise records every item with weight and fineness and archives every sale TSE-signed and GoBD-compliant, so you can document buy-in and resale cleanly. Whether a piece is taxed on the margin under Paragraph 25a UStG or sold as scrap gold under the reverse-charge procedure depends on the case and belongs with your tax advisor. Can Gemwise connect to an online shop?
Yes. Gemwise automatically receives completed orders from Shopware and Magento. Every online sale deducts stock and shows up with revenue and payment method in the reports and the DATEV export. Stock and revenue stay in one system, at the counter and in the shop. The integration is an add-on module and can be booked on any tier.
Can my advertising agency see reports without seeing customer data?
Yes. Gemwise has a dedicated reporting access for marketing partners: revenue curves, top categories and top products, but no customer data and no access to the till. Your agency gets the numbers it needs without any personal data leaving your shop.
